Total Weight Gain/Loss: -10 pounds from prepregnancy weight.
Symptoms:
- food aversions, especially meat
- tiredness - this has gotten better. We've stayed up until 11 a few nights this past week watching the Olympics as apposed to going to bed at 8:30
- Loss of sex drive
- sneezing - especially since I've been sick this week!
- constipation - back to being somewhat of a problem. I think I'm going to have to take Colace once a week to make sure it doesn't become a bigger problem.
- getting winded easier - that might be attributed to the cold I had over the weekend.
Maternity clothes: Wearing maternity jeans all the time; as soon as I get home, I'm either in yoga pants or PJ pants. Loving my maternity shirts, they're so long and comfortable! I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear some maxi dresses, I have a feeling those will be my go-to for the summer.
Stretch marks: Nothing new here. Anyone have a recommendation for a lotion/cream to try and combat any that will show up?
Sleep: Still up a few times a night to reposition myself, thankfully my sides have started to become more comfortable. I can normally go until about 5 before having to pee, and Keegan gets up around 5:30 for work, so I've been able to kiss him before work each morning. Only problem is, it takes me about an hour and a half to get back to sleep, so I only get another hour of sleep or so before I have to get up for work.
Best moment last week: We purchased our dresser and crib today! Keegan got a nice bonus at work, so we used some of it to purchase the furniture. We purchased both from diapers.com because they have free shipping and no tax.
Unfortunately they're in two different colors, but we realized that after we had already ordered the dresser. The colors seem pretty close on the designer's website, but if they end up being too different, we'll return and order a different crib.
Movement: Too early.
Food cravings: No real cravings. I have been liking McAlister's cheese spud and lemonade a lot, I may have had it three times this week.
Gender: We find out on February 27!
Labor signs: Zilch, thank goodness.
Belly button? In, maybe getting shallower
What I miss: Getting a full night sleep without having to wake up to pee. Even though I was never a big drinker before pregnancy, a cold fruity alcoholic drink sounds amazing right now.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out Breadcrumb's gender on the 27th and our Atlanta trip.
Baby Buys: The crib and dresser above. We also went to Build A Bear and made Breadcrumb's first lovie, a super soft bunny.
Milestones: Holy crap we purchased nursery furniture!
Didn't realize that was the only front view picture Keegan took, so that's what you get!
i can not wait wait wait to find out the gender!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand nursery furniture! so exciting! i wish i could see your face when it gets delivered!
You and I both!
DeleteI LOVE that dresser. It's gorgeous! Sex scan is coming right up :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope we like it as much in person!
DeleteAw YAY! That first big purchase is such a big deal! I totally feel you on the meat aversion, with my first I almost turned vegetarian! I can't wait to hear what you're having!!!
ReplyDeleteKeegan made hamburgers one night, and I almost opened all the windows in 30 degree weather to get the meat smell out of the house, it's bad!
DeleteThat furniture is SO similar to what we got!! We got DaVinci but a different line. Awesome!!! And we got it in black. : )
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, furniture twins! We were going to get them in black, but the nursery doesn't get a lot of light, so we figured the black would be too dark. I can't wait to see what yours looks like set up!
DeleteIt is so exciting to buy furniture right? I just hauled home a second hand crib from my nanny family and we bought a dresser for baby's room last weekend! It really makes the nesting instinct kick in! I can't believe you are 15 weeks already!
ReplyDeleteHonestly the reason we bought the furniture so early is because I've been itching to put away the few things we've purchased. It bugs me that they're just hanging out on the floor!
DeleteI love the furniture! So exciting that you'll be finding out the gender next week!!!
ReplyDeleteFor this whole pregnancy, I've been using Jason Cocoa Butter hand & body lotion on my belly. I love it, and don't have any stretch marks. I hear stretch marks are hereditary though, so maybe it makes no difference. But it's still very moisturizing and not sticky at all!
Thank you for the suggestion! I know lotion doesn't *really* help out, but it'll be nice to have something when the belly gets itchy.
DeleteOh, stretch marks: You'll either get them or not, no matter what kind of cream you use. If you do get them, there are some creams that can make them fade faster after birth, but that's about it. It doesn't hurt to keep your skin hydrated (especially for comfort as the skin stretches), but don't spend too much money.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't planning on spending too much. I've heard amazing things about plain coconut oil, but Keegan's allergic to coconut, so that was out of the question. Since I got stretch marks when I gained weight in the past, I'm sure I'll get some, but the lotion will be nice to help an itchy belly!
DeleteAww, that is such a fun step! The room will totally start to come together now!
ReplyDeleteI hope so! It's been bugging me so much to have baby stuff just laying on the floor and in the closet. I'm not a huge organizer, but for some reason I'm itchy to organize all the baby stuff!
DeleteHey mama, hope you and Breadcrumb are doing well...sent you a little something last week. :)
